My name is Dean and I started this business because I became interested in insulating homes retrospectively. I am now joined by James who leads the operational side and Kevin leading certification.
I come from a background of construction, property investment and development. In the last five years I’ve hands on built and refurbished 3 houses, I was staggered at the volume of insulation needed to conform to building regulations these days, I am also staggered at the cost of materials.
The recent hike in energy prices have had a huge impact on my portfolio which has shocked me, so I decided to set up this business to help homeowners, mainly in South London, to help try and cut their energy bills. We have recently introduced a new division helping people with noise reduction, and several customers have approached us to help with noisy neighbour issues. There are great new systems out there that we would be happy to share with you.
I am not convinced people took much notice of Energy performance certificates (EPCs) when they first came out but I think their importance in home buying and selling is really becoming a big thing now.
We have built up a network of good suppliers, contractors and professionals who can help get bills down.

LOFT INSULATION
We can help with rolled insulation between and over ceiling joists. We can raise the level of the loft floor to accommodate increased insulation and still provide loft storage. We can install rigid board insulation between roof rafters internally applied.
EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION, EXTERNALLY APPLIED
We are currently researching various methods where solid external walls can we overclad with thermal boards and finished in a variety of ways . In colder European countries many old houses have now been overclad in some instances reducing heat loss via walls up to 40%. Please drop us a line if you would like us to consider your property for this application.
TIMBER SUSPENDED FLOORS
Rigid thermal board is installed beneath floorboards in between floor joists and sealed. Adequate sub floor air flow is vital and can be created. Sealing of new insulation before flooring reinstatement.
DRAUGHT EXCLUSION
We install high quality draught excluders to windows and doors.
We can upgrade or install new sealed units in timber and older double glazed windows.
ADDITIONAL MECHANICAL VENTILATION
One downside of improving the thermal efficiency of old houses can be increased condensation. I have been working with a mechanical ventilation company I have found to be very knowledgeable, with good services and prices.

We have enlarged loft hatches, installed ladders, cleared lofts, boarded above new insulation and even helped set up a model train set.

With the cost of living so great many are turning to DIY to help save, hence why we are launching a DIY advice service. £250 Covers initial visit and advice of areas of greatest gain for less financial pain.
Plus two call in visits to aid your DIY installation as work progresses.
Retro Fit Insulation Tool
I was at seminar recently about the futher coming changes to the renters reform bill and new legislation with regards to energy performance requirements . Birmingham Midshires presented this handy toolkit they have developed which got a lot of interest.
External wall insulation internally applied
Make those solid old north facing or any walls warmer with internally applied PIR boards greatly improving the comfort and thermal efficiency of your home.
